How to use the Burnout Check-In Tool

We’ll give you 16 statements and ask you to rate them on a scale indicating how much you agree or disagree.

This will take around 5-10 minutes.

Answer the questions honestly based on how you feel right now about your work. The questions ask about the two main symptoms of burnout, which are:

  • exhaustion - meaning feelings of being emotionally drained and worn out, and
  • disengagement - meaning feeling cynical, detached, and negative towards work. 

Remember as you use this tool that burnout isn't just an issue with you. It can be a systemic issue, where your workplace also has a responsibility. Feelings of burnout aren’t judgements on you and it’s not just up to you to fix.
